It has been a fun filled day t

oday with the Hurst Family. It started out very low key and laid back. We woke up and had breakfast, did the dishes and some laundry, while Tyler and Palin cleaned the office. We decided today was the day....we were going to take Palin to see her first movie at a theater! I told her we were going to Tangled and that it would be so fun and that we would get popcorn.....ooops, Palin LOVES popcorn! So for the next 4 hours she kept asking me for popcorn :) When we walked into the theater she started yelling "Stars! Stars!" at the top of her lungs. There were neon light stars all over the ceiling. She loves stars she was very excited. And then finally we got her popcorn. When we walked into our movie it was just starting. She stopped dead in her tracks...I think it scared her a little bit, that lasted about 5 seconds though, then she saw the lights leading up the stairs and said "lights Mama!" and followed after her dad. We sat down in our seats and gave her her popcorn and her little eyes just danced as she smiled and watched! I thought she

was hooked....well she was for about the first 45 minutes. Then the fun began. To know Palin is to know that she NO FEAR! The stair climbing began (thankfully we were sitting on the edge of the row and there weren't very many people in the theater). I thought she would stay pretty close, but no she wanted an adventure. She started walking down other rows. I turned to tell Tyler to go get her, and what do you know, my dear husband is asleep.....nice. We finally got Palin to come sit back down on my lap and she stayed there pretty much the rest of the time. While I thought Tangled was a cute show I think it was geared a little more to the 8 year old range. I think we will wait a while before we try a movie again :)
After the movie we went to North Face shopping and bought matching jackets for this spring. After that a quick trip to Costco....there would be something wrong in the world if
Tyler didn't get to go to Costco on a Saturday. Whatever makes him happy makes me happy. Which would be why then we came home, ate Pizza and watched the BYU Basketball game and listened to Tyler praise Jimmer Fredette the rest of the night.....he did score 42 points so I guess praise to some degree is deserved.
All and all it was a great Saturday! I love spending quality bonding time with my family!
