Our Purpose In Life
So last night Tyler and I stayed up until 2:30 Playing Rummikub. Why you ask?....Basically we're crazy, that and Tyler was totally kicking my trash so I made him keep playing un
til I won, what can I say I HATE to lose! So after I finally had my victory off to bed we went knowing full well that we would be paying for it this morning. Well Tyler did....pay for it that is. He woke up so sick, it must have been all those bread sticks he ate from Little Caesars, or maybe it was retribution for being such an ungracious winner, what ever the case he was in bad shape! So off Palin and I went to church alone! I hate going tochurch with out him when he's sick or out of town. You have to answer the same question over and over "Where's your husband at today?". Sometime I would like to make up some elaborate story about him getting arrested or tell them he's being detained out of the country, I don't know, just some crazy story and see how fast it could spread through the ward. Anyways, church was great! When I dropped Palin off at nursery she walked in and held out her dress and smiled at her leader Sister Martin and said "I'm princess!" It was so cute! She is my little princess, I love her so much. Sister Palmer taught today in Young Womens. She always does such a great job. She loves the young women so much! And you can always feel the spirit when she teaches. I have to say working with her in YW is one of my favorite parts of my calling. I admire her so much, I hope I can be as great of a role model as she is someday. She always carries herself with such grace and class and presents her message so well. Today the lesson was on Our Purpose In Life. I really hope the YW were listening. It is so easy to get lost in this worldly world we live in. The YW in our ward are amazing and I don't think a lot of them realize how much of a difference they make in the world. It's by small and simple things that great things happen. You never know how much even a few words you say can impact the life of someone around you. I think we all want to matter to the world and think we don't have a purpose if we aren't physically seeing that we are making some huge impact on the world. It's just not the case though. Everyday we are planting seeds that will grow and definitely impact the world somewhere along the way. I hope our YW apply the lesson that was taught to them today in their lives and realize they have a purpose and listen to blessings and promptings given to them so they know what they should be doing in their lives to achieve that purpose. I love when I leave YW and pick up Palin. It's amazing to think one day, a day that I am sure will come way to fast that she herself will be a Young Woman. I am
glad she has the great role models she has in her Grandmothers and Aunts. I know she will grow up to be a valiant YW herself. For now I just want to enjoy her being my sweet little baby girl and make sure I take the time to enjoy every minute i can with her....even when it means sitting under a card table having a tea party for hours:) I'm so grateful for My Purpose In Life right now!
